Young People's Trust for the Environment

The Young People's Trust for the Environment is a charity which aims to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and the need for sustainability.

With climate change being such a big issue for us all, there has probably never been a more important time for environmental education.

We provide free environmental information and services for schools and young people.  You can find out more about them using the links above.

By visiting this website, you are joining a growing number of people seeking information about the environmental issues that matter to you. More than 3.3 million pages were downloaded by over 1.4 million visitors in 2009-10.

If you have enjoyed using the site, you may wish to give a donation to support our work.  There is a button linking to our secure donation page on Justgiving.com from most pages.

Congratulations not just to them, but to the almost 26,000 young people who took part in projects for this year's Awards, making them the biggest yet.  We have been bowled over by the brilliant environmental work happening in schools and the judging process was a very difficult one.

We'd like to say a big thank you to all the schools that took part.  You will be receiving your projects and framed certificates in the post before the end of the summer term.  We hope you'll take part again next year, as the TOTAL Green School Awards are continuing for 2011.
