New Video Competition!

If you'd like the exciting chance to talk about the environment with MEPs (Members of European Parliament) in Brussels - this is your chance! Eurostar, in partnership with the Young People's Trust for the Environment are launching an exciting new video competition for 10-18 year olds.

The competition is now open for video entries recorded on your mobile phone, webcam, camera or camcorder. All we need is a 1-2 minute video of you telling us your views on protecting the environment and you could win a trip to Brussels and an iPod Shuffle.

MEPs are the decision makers, the people in power who help govern how we act on the environment and they want to hear from you. So what will you say? Visit this website for more information and helpful hints - Eurostar Competition.

Eurostar operate the high-speed rail service between the UK and mainland Europe. They are committed to reducing their carbon footprint and helping children all across the UK learn more about sustainable travel. With over 40% of young people taking two or more trips abroad the question of how to travel sustainably is more important than ever. Luckily a new survey of one thousand 10-18 year olds showed that 86% incorporate caring about the environment in their daily lives, so we owe you all a big thanks! But there's still work to do.

Why should you enter? Five lucky winners will be picked to meet MEPs from across Europe. They will be given the chance to have their voice heard and ask questions to Europe's decision makers, in the capital of the European Union . For young people who want to help and to encourage others protect the environment this is an opportunity of a lifetime. If you think our environment is important please tell us why and add your voice to the global discussion.

The deadline for entry is 29 February 2012.
