The Environmental Discovery courses run by the YPTE are great value, and give schoolchildren an experience which has been designed to be educational and enjoyable.

Courses are available most of the year in the south of England. The courses have been designed to be fun and educationally valuable for years 4 to 8. They offer excellent tuition, a secure environment with experienced and attentive tutors, and can make a valuable contribution to curriculum learning.

Our tutors are genuinely enthusiastic about the natural world. That helps them create a unique experience which can have a real and deep-rooted impact on attitudes, interest and awareness.

The YPTE Environmental Discovery Courses are based in Somerset and Dorset - ideal locations for field studies, with a wide variety of habitats within easy reach. Whatever time of year you visit thees magical areas, there is always something dramatic to experience.
